Increased domestic oil and natural gas production is something “to celebrate,” as it helps pare the U.S. trade deficit and beef up the country’s economic output. Although that may sound like a conclusion from the oil and gas industry and some of its biggest boosters in Washington, D.C., the assessment actually comes from two of the Obama administration’s top economic advisers.
